MEET OUR STAFF
Casey Baker
Casey was born and raised in Kingman, Arizona. He graduated from Kingman High School in 1994. He then attended the University of Arizona before graduating from Northern Arizona University in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration (finance). While at NAU, Casey served as president of his fraternity and received multiple awards for his work in that capacity. After college, Casey worked briefly in the financial services industry, and then as the operations manager of a large window and door manufacturer in Phoenix, Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada.
In 2002, Casey moved to Lexington, Kentucky to attend law school. While at the University of Kentucky, Casey served as the president of the Moot Court Board, vice-president of the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity, and volunteered for the Fayette County Foster Care Review Board. In his legal writing class, Casey received the award for “best brief” and recognition as runner up for “best oral argument.” Casey graduated from the UK College of Law in 2005 with a Juris Doctor degree.
After graduation, Casey moved to Reno and began his legal career with Richard’s office, where he remained for three years. After a brief absence in 2008-2009, Casey returned to pick up where he left off. In only a brief amount of time, Casey has acquired considerable hands-on litigation experience. He has tried three cases to their completion and conducted several arbitrations, mediations, depositions and adversary hearings.
Sherri
Hill
Sherri is our office
manager as well as Richards wife of 34 years.
Sherri was born
in Southwest Washington and attended Willamette University, graduating with a
Bachelors of Arts degree.
Sally
Stauffer Gallagher
Sally Stauffer
Gallagher is practically a Reno native, having
lived in the Truckee Meadows for the past 40
years. She attended local schools through the
University level and went on to begin her legal
career as a paralegal assistant at Perry, Hebert
& Spann, an insurance defense firm.
Since then, Mrs.
Gallagher has continued to be employed as a
legal assistant for the past 21 years–17
of those years in a “senior paralegal”
capacity. She has accumulated experience in
commercial and real property transactions and
litigation as well as personal injury and insurance
defense specialties. She is also familiar with
domestic law (divorce and child custody).
Once on a case,
she is skilled at organization and “document
control.” Sally is adept at interviewing
witnesses and coordinating testimony appearances.
Additionally, she performs critical “field”
work, such as obtaining information from governmental
agencies, site observations and/or inspections,
on-site document review.
During her leisure
time, Sally enjoys all water sports, skiing,
mountain biking, golf, reading, and watching
her daughter grow up.
Karen Nielsen
Karen grew up in Reno and graduated from Reno High School and the University of Nevada. She later earned a graduate degree in Spanish from Yale University.
Karen has over eight years experience working as a legal assistant in personal injury and litigation firms. She reviews, organizes and summarizes case documents. She performs off-site document review and site inspections, research on non-legal matters relevant to cases, and obtains necessary documents and information from government and other agencies. She helps coordinate production of necessary information and documents with clients, prepares and organizes exhibits and other materials used at trial, and attends and assists at trial.
Karen enjoys reading, photography, movies, art, music, and swimming.
